What is Minimalinks?

Minimalinks is a simple bookmarking tool. It is short for minimal links.

How is it different from the many alternatives?

It tries to follow the Zettelkasten method that is popular for notes taking.

Every bookmark you save gets automatically saved with the tag of "inbox" so you don't spend time trying to categorize at the time of bookmarking.

When you come back to Minimalinks, you see all the links in inbox as the default view. This allows you to review the new links and move it to the appropriate category once you review it.

In short, it makes the bookmarking process quick and pushes every other decision like choosing a category to the review process that you would usually do at a different time.

How does it work?

Once you sign in using Twitter, you should be able to start bookmarking links.

Copy the script below

javascript:void(open('https://minimalinks.com/save?url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+'&description='+encodeURIComponent(document.querySelector("meta[property='og:description']") == null ? '' : document.querySelector("meta[property='og:description']").getAttribute('content'))+'&title='+encodeURIComponent(document.title), 'Minimalinks - Bookmark a link', 'width=400,height=450'))

Right click on the bookmark bar and select "Add bookmark".

Give the bookmarklet a name, paste the code you copied from above into the URL field and save it.

When you want to bookmark a page, click on the bookmarklet you created.
